2 slices of bread toasted until nice & crispy
1/2 ripe Avocado cut into slices
Beetroot Hummus ( other flavors/ plain will also work)
1/2 cup boiled chickpeas
1/2 tsp each of red chili powder, cumin powder,oil
Salt and pepper
Lemon juice
1/2 tsp sour cream (optional)
Herbs to Garnish


1. Heat the oil in small pan, add the chickpeas and saute it for 3-5 min until moisture evaporates. Add chili powder, cumin powder, salt and pepper and squeeze of lemon.
2. Take the bread slices, slather hummus generously on one side of bread.
3. Add 1-2 tsbp of chickpea mixture on one slice and avocado slices, salt pepper and lemon juice on other.
4. Drizzle some sour cream if you like on the slice with chickpeas. Add some herbs to garnish.
Viola it's so easy isn't it but this makes a bright delicious breakfast
