Hey Hi! I am Priyanka Kale. Born and raised in India, currently living in California. Few years ago I flew down to this land of opportunities, country that is whole new world in itself! Moving here was not only exciting but also a start of adventurous journey ever. Surrounded by new city, new people, new culture, new FOOD habits, new travel destinations, and whole new perspective about life! Sounds very challenging however support of most loving people around made everything so easy... Now when I look back to these years, I feel blessed, I feel content and I feel doing something more exciting. I wanted to put together all those ideas I have been stacking up all these years about my own food space. My family's constant love and support and of course spending lots of hours in my kitchen made this possible. They have always been a true critic about flavors I create and that has propelled me to cook more and gave me a courage of sharing this with you all! I am truly delighted to share this space with everyone!
Home Chef inside me was born the same day I started making Maggie rather than just boiling it... when I use to garnish even my simple plate of dal(lentil) and rice, when I used to imitate those food channel hosts in my kitchen… when I used to binge watch any food show for hours... or when I used to be around my mom just observing her cook... I don’t even recall when I was transformed into complete foodie and became passionate about food...Relishing on good food was and is always favorite part of my life...truly blissful. I still remember how I used to visit those new restaurants in the city with my best buddies and spend all my pocket money... savoring on street food, trying almost every paratha in the college canteen, debating about the nutritional facts of pizza…
Yes I am absolute foodie since then.
My family has always influenced my cooking interest. Be it my Mom, Mom in law,my Sisters, my Aunts or even my teenage nephew who is always around the kitchen station trying to explore....Trying out new recipes, watching YouTube videos, following more food posts on Instagram than anything else and just experimenting even everyday routine meals has always made me real happy...clicking picture after making almost everything and anything is now ritual for me... (Com’on dont judge, I take those for my mom, I know you relate) Eventually all this has inspired me and gave me an opportunity to create something of my own, play with those flavors and spread happiness (and some aroma) around my house…Also I am glad and thankful to Sadia Badiei, from Pickuplimes for inspiring me and my cooking love!
I would like to share all the spicy, salty and some sweet stories from my kitchen to yours and I want you all to join me! This is a platform to share and share more... I am not the expert to teach you anything but let’s begin sharing those wonderful secrets that fills your kitchen with lot of aroma and your life with lot of happiness.
Let’s share our food stories, inspire each other and spread some joy
I am sure if you love food you will love this space too…
